A: Three meals daily, weekly housekeeping (including linen service), scheduled transportation in our private bus, all utilities – including cable television and an extensive activities calendar.
A: No. There is no investment and no long term lease to sign. You pay only your first months rent plus a nominal security deposit.
A: Definitely. Our philosophy is to allow you all the freedom and independence you want while at the same time assuring you as much attention as you deserve.
A: River Oaks has a trained food service staff which prepares all meals in a modern, well-equipped kitchen. Breakfast and supper are served cafeteria-style, offering you a variety of dishes to enjoy and the flexibility to choose when you wish to dine. Dinner is served restaurant-style at 12 noon with waiters and waitresses to serve you. On those occasional days of illness, tray service to your apartment is available for 3 days at no charge, with a nominal charge after that.
A: Our housekeepers clean your apartment once a week. At that time, they will sanitize your bathroom and leave you clean towels and a supply of bathroom tissue. They will change your sheets and vacuum your apartment. Windows are cleaned as necessary and thorough “Spring Cleaning” is performed yearly.
A: All apartments have individual temperature controls. You decide how warm or cool you wish to be.
A: Each apartment is equipped with an emergency call system. These are monitored in the front office on a 24-hour basis. You need only pull one of the cords located in each room of your apartment and someone will respond immediately.
A: No. All you need to do is plan your schedule to coincide with any of the trips listed in the monthly activities planner.
A: Certainly. Your friends and family are always welcome at River Oaks. Overnight guests may stay with you in your apartment. You may also invite guests to join you for any meal in our dining room for a small charge per meal.
A: River Oaks has an extensive activities program. Our monthly schedule always includes a variety of outings: day visits to surrounding communities, lunches out a interesting restaurants, trips to museums and art exhibits, walks on Redding's River trail and summertime boat trips on Lake Shasta are a few examples. We also have beautiful buffets for most holidays, happy hours, weekly ice-cream socials, picnics and BBQ's. Exercise classes are scheduled three times per week.
